Here’s the syllabus with a repository of all of the prompt’s from Crista Signlin’s “Poetry School” with Poetry Trapper Keeper.

Present to Self 👻🎁
Rummage through your closet. Find a couple things you want to be rid of.
Gift wrap them.
After a couple days, open them up
Write a poem about these items as though you are seeing them for the first time, as though they really were a gift. Do phantom memories of the items’ past lives permeate the poem??
Toe Prompt 🦶🥬
Pay attention to your toes while walking through the grocery store
Take note of their opinions as you peruse the aisles of produce
Write their dialogue with one another
Memory Telephone I 🧠☎️
Ask a friend to go on a walk with you.
Go on a walk with your friend. While walking, whisper things that you notice to one another.
When you get home, make a poem with anything that you can remember of what you both whispered.
Memory Telephone II 🌞💌
When you wake up, write yourself a letter.
Go about your day.
At the end of the day, try to replicate the letter you wrote at the beginning of the day, without looking at it.
After reviewing the 2 letters, write about a poem inspired by the differences and/or commonalities between the 2.
Option 2: You can combine the 2 letters to create a synthesized letter poem to yourself.
Interviews with Trees 🌳
Find trees that resonate with you.
Interview them. You can ask how it feels to have an interconnected root system. Or wind in its branches. And so on.
Make sure to sit with them for their responses. Compare the trees’ answers.
Write a poems that compares and contrasts how the trees responded to your questions.
Make Ready Your Utensils 🎶
Make a playlist in response to going back to school
Use the song titles in a poem
Record yourself reading it while sharpening pencils
Doodlehead 🖊️
Find a talk or lecture about your favorite subject
Doodle and take notes while you listen to it
Remix your notes and doodles into a poem
