hellloooooooooo! Whoever said better late than never obviously understood me on a deeply personal level. So yeah hi, it’s me once again feeling like maybe I should have posted this 5 days ago, but time is a construct and so are parking lots and I’ve been busy being known by other people; here’s a better late than never poem (and special announcement! So stick around!)
When I’m home alone, and catching up on sleep 🛌
I see it. On floor, legs spreading a Kazoo sized smile busy simply frying fractions into pseudoscience that believes in love as chores and that rare new word ordered into a lived in body; Coffee breath. If game theory isn’t transferable to human interaction then is it a) love b) the need for something c) not to write about? But these are just words, at this point busy being known by other people.
Announcing: 🌈 🏠QUEERHOUSE!
From July 15th - 17th, Poetry Trapper Keeper will transform the pavilion, workshop, and outdoor spaces at Treehouse NDSM into QUEERHOUSE - a three-day artistic occupation, creative recharging station, and community-building hub for the attendees of Queer & Pride Amsterdam.
Want a space to write poetry with your besties? Need help actually talking to people after the open mic? Looking for a sensory deprivation chamber to just doodle together?
QUEERHOUSE is a multi-use, self-organizing space where you can chill, eat, write, party, AND be creative (whether you’re a quote unquote “artist” or not).
There will be an interactive exhibition, free art supplies, workshops, performances, and events hosted by some of your favorite Queer Amsterdam organizations - House of Jungle, Poetry Circle, Unwanted Words, SNEAKOUT, and Poetry Trapper Keeper.
The space will be open to the public from 4 pm to 11 pm every day.
Stay tuned for the full lineup of events, which we will be dropping over the next few weeks (and subscribe to be the first to know!)
Ok! That’s all for now! The early bird gets the worm, the late poet gets to write about the longing for the unattainable worm
See u so soon
Xoxo
