just need a partner in crime to
boom roast get drunk grab the
gun & steal their cake if you
have doubts don’t donkey kong
in august* was always our red flag
reinforcing binary forms but red
sangria on the other hand be fresh
& groovy & slide into their dm’s
pinky rings are trendy rn as are only
fans for gremlins gatekeeping
friends no remember it would be
easier if you’d stop being the
sidekicks crying at life ’s small
pleasures our green lawns &
parking lots are the size of two
Ireland's!! ancestors rolling
their eyes today there are more
people displaced by the weather
than the wars still want the
*barnacles still want the trauma still
want the juice of the fruit trickling
down my face

SPEAKING of the aliens… our very own poetry mom, Crista Siglin (poetry editor @ SAND Journal), is hosting a “Poetry As Cosmos” workshop in August & September!! From Crista:
Poetry As Cosmos is thinking about facets of poetic practice in conversation with natural satellites, outerspace, celestial bodies, black holes, mysterious planetary phenomena, and beyond. These sessions are affiliated with Poetry As_A Workshop, which is an experimental and collaborative workshop in poetry held digitally to accommodate participants from multiple time zones.
Dates: August 28th, September 4th, 11th, and 18th
Location: Zoom
Timeframe: 2 hours (from 7 pm to 9 pm Berlin time)
Fee: Sliding scale, depending on what you are able to pay. The suggested range is 90 to 150 Euros. This can be transferred via bank wire or PayPal.
