I cannot be the only one who thought the Colosseum was like Madison Square Garden 🦄📓
Hey now hey now have you fed your inner tween today
The second Larissa saw the little 🛵 in Kelly’s we ride at dawn poem from Wednesday they just knew they had to write this little ode to tweenhood!
I cannot be the only one who thought the Colosseum was like Madison Square Garden
Hey now hey now have you fed your inner tween today pastel sequinned baguette bags double locked dear diary what a day to fall for your best friend is love holding hands does it still have a favorite color why pink and purple some choc-mint ice-cream lick it with gusto don’t worry don’t know about male gaze and Lolitafication ride your bike badly it’s ok you learned to read early you don’t read books you eat books and that’s a phrase you stole from a biography about Henry K-I-S-S-I-N-Ger ew no cooties for you yet you are too precocious and too smart and too pretty everyone tells dad you will be a handful in a handful of years all potential won’t be lost to time is not like the present never stops being embarrassing to ask mom to buy you tampons even if you get a Kit-Kat from the checkout aisle up the memories and realize it is not a place for singing turns out it was just stone ruins sitting there for like forever.
This poem was heavily inspired by watching Pixar’s Turning Red (I’ve watched it twice its soooo good!!!) and remembering I wasn’t born cool. So the poetry prompt is to either watch that or take an hour of your day to honor the little awkward cocoon-human you were before you emerged as an adult butterfly! Can’t wait to read it!
big kiss,
