Hi pretty babies. L took a break last week, so it’s me again! (They’ll be back, don’t worry! Wish her a happy birthday when you get the chance. We love a Leo).
This poem isn’t about the movie Babygirl (2024), but it isn’t not about that. I promise I write about things other than kissing and stripteases and abandonment issues. Probably.
babygirl
let me drink milk from your palms when you say it. say it again. then don’t leave until i fall asleep. first, i’ll perform a talent show by the fireplace in your too-big shirt, too-big shoes. remove one button at a time. whenever you leave i’ll know you got sick of my face. hold your whole thumb like a hand when you return. look at me. i don’t know how to grow old. only know how to stay still, say please please please please. i get so darling for you. so darling. a girl who cannot be lost, only abandoned.
POETRY PROMPT: In this vein, write a poem about how you act when you are with your love(r)(s).
Happy Leo szn! Talk to you soon. Mwah!
